About this service

A carer is anyone who looks after a family member, partner, or friend who needs help because of illness, frailty, disability, mental health problems, or addiction. Carers often put others first. Our Carer's Protocol exists to make sure we look after carers too.

What it covers

  • A note on your medical record that you're a carer
  • Flexible appointment times where possible
  • An annual carer's health review
  • Free seasonal flu vaccination if you're a carer of someone vulnerable
  • Signposting to Cheshire East Carers Hub and other local support

How to access this

Ask reception to add a carer flag to your record, or mention it at your next appointment. The annual carer review is then offered automatically.
