Welcome to Kiltearn Medical Centre
We're an NHS GP practice based at Church View Primary Care Centre in Nantwich town centre. We look after over 12,050 patients and we're still accepting new registrations.
Our team includes 7 GP partners and 4 salaried GPs, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, a Nursing Associate, an Assistant Practitioner, a Senior Health Care Assistant, and 2 Practice Pharmacists. We also have Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioners and a dedicated research team.
We provide in-house Musculoskeletal and Phlebotomy services. Our Nurse Practitioners are trained to prescribe under the Minor Ailments Scheme, so you can often get treated without needing a GP appointment.
The GPs have special interests which means we can offer additional services for joint injections and minor operations. We're also a training practice and an accredited research site.
Our administrative team has completed Care Navigation accreditation, so they can point you towards the right service first time rather than always defaulting to a GP appointment. We're also one of the highest-performing practices in the area for signing patients up to online services.
Part of Nantwich and Rural Care Community
We work alongside four other local practices as part of the Nantwich and Rural Care Community. Care communities bring practices together to share resources, run joint clinics, and make sure patients across the area get the same standard of care.
What also sets us apart
- Reception Lead. A dedicated team member who can help with NHS App setup and other IT support, and who is also the first point of contact for any concerns or feedback about your experience with the practice.
- Mini-hub scheme. We offer a small number of weekly appointments to patients of other GP practices, helping the wider area cope with demand.
- Patient Participation Group. Our PPG has two patient ambassadors and several other members who communicate with each other and the practice to help shape our services.
- Ten years of patient access to research. Our dedicated research facilities have been giving Nantwich patients access to clinical trials and observational studies for a decade.
- Minor Ailments Scheme prescribing. Our Nurse Practitioners are trained to prescribe under the NHS Minor Ailments Scheme, which means many common conditions can be treated without needing to see a GP.

Practice policies and patient information
Access to your records
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to request information from your clinical records or any other personal data we hold about you.
To request your records, make a Subject Access Request to the Practice Manager. We'll respond within one calendar month. There is no charge for Subject Access Requests. Online access to your electronic records is available through the NHS App or Patient Access.
Sharing information with other organisations
We may share your personal information with other NHS organisations where it's lawful and appropriate for your healthcare. We won't normally release information to other family members without your written consent.
All staff are bound by contractual confidentiality agreements and the legal requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018. They only access your information to the extent needed for their role.
Chaperone policy
You can ask for a chaperone to be present during any consultation or examination. Please let reception know before your appointment and we'll arrange this for you.
In some circumstances, the doctor or nurse may also ask for a chaperone to be present. This is standard practice and is there to protect both patients and staff.
Research and surveillance
We're one of over 600 practices in England contributing pseudonymised data to the RCGP Research and Surveillance Centre. This data helps monitor infections and diseases across the community and supports ethically approved research. It's a key resource for the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and plays an important role in predicting and managing flu outbreaks and pandemics.

Sexual safety charter

Late arrivals
We have a protocol for patients who arrive late for appointments. If you're running late, please call us on 01270 441672 so we can let you know whether your appointment can still go ahead. Ask at reception if you'd like to see the full policy.
No smoking
We are a no-smoking organisation. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building or immediately in front of the entrance.
Proxy access to online services
You can give another person (such as a carer or family member) access to your GP online services. This is called proxy access.
