About this service

Each autumn and winter we offer seasonal flu vaccinations to eligible patients, and COVID-19 boosters where the practice has been asked to provide them. Both help protect people at higher risk from becoming seriously unwell. Eligibility is set nationally and can change from year to year.

What it covers

  • Seasonal flu vaccination for eligible groups, including adults aged 65 and over, pregnant women, carers, and people with certain health conditions
  • COVID-19 boosters for eligible groups when the practice is commissioned to give them
  • The option to have both at the same appointment where that's offered
  • Advice on where else to get vaccinated, such as a local pharmacy

How to access this

We contact eligible patients when the seasonal programmes open, usually from September or October. You can also book a flu vaccination at a participating pharmacy. If you think you're eligible and haven't been invited, contact reception.
