Health Visitors
Health Visitors give advice on the health and welfare of babies and children, and run the Child Development Clinics.
About this service
Health Visitors are specialist community nurses who support parents and carers of babies and children up to age 5. They're an NHS service separate from the GP surgery, but we work closely together.
What it covers
- New-baby home visits (usually around 10-14 days after birth)
- Child development checks at 6-8 weeks, 1 year, and 2-2.5 years
- Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding support
- Sleep, behaviour, and weaning advice
- Safeguarding and early-help referrals where needed
How to access this
The Cheshire East Health Visiting Service covers Kiltearn patients. Call 0300 247 0040 or speak to your GP for a referral. Drop-in baby clinics run weekly at Nantwich Health Centre.
