Our GPs are trained to perform a range of minor surgical procedures. We operate a waiting list.
About this service
We can do many minor surgical procedures here at the surgery, saving you a hospital trip. Procedures are done under local anaesthetic by one of our GPs with specialty training in minor operations. There's usually a waiting list of a few weeks.
What it covers
- Removal of skin cysts, lipomas, and benign skin lesions
- Skin lesion biopsy where diagnosis is uncertain
- Steroid joint injections for shoulder, knee, elbow, and small joints
How to access this
You'll need to see a GP first to assess whether the procedure is suitable. If yes, you'll be added to the minor surgery waiting list and reception will contact you when a slot is available.
